I want to remind you that general meetings will pause for the summer and begin again in September. Have no fear, N2N rolls on! Social Groups still meet, and projects will still be in development. You will receive newsletters throughout the summer.
First of all, why do we not have a picture of Tracy? I want to thank our MSW Intern, Tracy Jackson, for doing a spectacular job this year in helping us move forward on several projects and manage our communications (through our new Web site and through our Mail Chimp newsletters). Tracy will move on to finish her degree in Social Work from Hunter College, and return to her duties on the board of Brooklyn’s Heights and Hills. Tracy, we all wish you good luck. Thank you for sharing your family with us this year as well!
I want to thank NYU’s McSilver Center for Poverty Policy & Research, including the fabulous Chief of Staff, Ammu Kowolik, and the previous Deputy Director, Gary Parker (now at Washington University), for hosting us at McSilver for our general meetings from the very beginning. This was essential to our initial formation, and we are forever grateful. Thank you, Ammu and Gary!McSilver is no longer able to provide us with MSW interns as they have in past, and we are now looking to work with NYU’s Community Engagement team. We will be working with them over the summer to try and secure a meeting space for our 2017-2018 season. We look forward to continued collaboration and partnership with NYU. The University has been a vital partner for N2N and we are very appreciative of their support. That support is a major vote of confidence in our mission. Watch this space for news of where we will meet in the fall.
