Kim Hostler and Juliet Burrows provided friendly advice and strategies for managing fine arts and antiques: appraising, deaccessioning, preparations to pass on to another generation. Kim reports that she is often approached by families that inherit lots of “stuff”. The families usually have no idea what is in that “stuff”. Some pieces of art or furniture have family stories that go with them, some have significant monetary value. Come join a casual conversation with two well-respected fine art experts in our neighborhood on this topic.
